Rear Window Regulator Cable

Post by bockscar »

The rear windows were down when I got the car and when I tried rolling them up or down they wouldn't move, but I could hear the regulator working and moving. I pulled off the door panels and found a cable that is disconnected inside the door and after looking at pictures of the regulator mechanism it appears this has come undone and needs to be reattached. Has anyone done this? I'm assuming I'm going to have to take the whole thing out to re string the cable, but haven't found much online.

you need new regulators , something broke

unfortunatly GM has discontinued them , look for a place that can rebuild them locally to you

There seems to still be plenty of stock online, so I went ahead and ordered a set. Looks like the ones for the SS and G8 work as well for anyone else interested.
