2012 Chevrolet Caprice PPV 3.6 Liter V-6

258,000 Miles

This is a one owner car that was never used as a police vehicle. I am the original owner and I was able to purchase it New in 2014 from a dealer That took an order for 30 identical cars for a local municipality and when the time came for them to take delivery they were short on funding and had to only take 28 of them leaving the dealer with 2 after they sat on the lot for two years the GM Zone Rep ultimately gave the dealership the OK to sell them to a retail customer. This vehicle has been meticulously maintained with regular and frequent oil changes using only mobile one engine oil. Transmission was serviced every 25,000 miles using OEM filters and Amsoil transmission fluid. Everything works on the car as it should except for the radio volume knob which is a common problem on these cars the volume works correctly through the steering wheel controller. There also may be a slight transmission problem there is a slight flare between The 3rd and 4th shifts. I have done some reading on this and from what I understand this is normal and no service is needed it has been like this for at least two years with no indication of it getting worse. A replacement transmission will be included with the sale of the car.

Recent repairs are as follows

Timing chains done at 238,000. Every component behind the timing cover was changed including guides tensioners chains sprockets and cam phasers.

Water Pump

Catalytic converters were changed about a year ago.

Both batteries were replaced with Optima yellow tops .

Brakes are all good.

Starter is about a year old

Tires show about 20 to 30% wear.

Fuel injectors and high-pressure fuel pump were changed about 3 years ago.

Belts and hoses recently replaced.

Air conditioning condenser , both A/C lines and expansion valve were changed this past summer. Air conditioning blows ice cold.

Despite the high miles this car still has a lot of life left in it.
