So this is my new to me 2012 9C1. It has low miles, and high idle hours. 91K miles, and 9k idle hours. The cam, and lifters were replaced at 60k while still in service. I just replaced the crank pully and bolt, plugs and wires with ACDelco replacements. The in-cabin filter looked like it had never been replaced. Previous owner was the tech who did the work on the cam, and he jumped on the car when it hit the auction. He was moving up to an SS, so the 9c1 had to go. Drives well, most of its issues now seems to be cosmetic. It is going in for paint next week to correct the horrible paint over of the white doors, and trunk lid. I have ordered all new trunk emblems, full hubcaps, and missing radio knob. It will be a sleeper. No exterior mods other than a 6.0 badge in place of the flex fuel badge.
I was looking on line for a pic of a caprice police car from the dept it came from, and found two of my actual car. I thought that was cool.
Plans are simple. Do a full DOD delete with mild cam, and supporting mods, make sure it is 100% mechanically sound, and replace or fix any interior panels with damage.

That's a good starting point. Body looks good otherwise.

Just got it back from the body shop. The only thing not painted was the hood, and front bumper. Emblems, and hubcaps on. Looking better every day. Even got a Impala bowtie to help with the stealth appearance I am going for. And it was cheaper than the Caprice bowtie.

Looks good!
What’d you spend on paint and body? How many holes did you have filled?

The previous owner filled the 2 holes, and painted the doors, trunk, and roof horribly. One on the trunk was well done, but the hole on the roof needed re-work.NewToMe2013PPV wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:58 pm Looks good!

I know a guy, so it was $1400. The hood, and front bumper cover had been repainted so I saved there.
