Discussion on body issues/mods, appearance, interior/trim, and detailing (i.e. how to keep your car looking showroom new, or a reasonable facsimile thereof...).

Options for Replacing / Modifying Side Marker Lights?

My PPV has these installed...

Are they just white strobes?
Can they fairly easily be hooked up to work with the blinkers (and would it be legal?)
Are there any slick/custom replacements for the entire assembly? Or just the light portion? (PPV emblem would be kinda cool)

They don't bother me too much as-is, but doing something different with them is on the to-do list.

Thanks for any feedback!

They look like LEDs and are likely red, blue or dual red/blue. And as such would likely be illegal. And they're ugly there. You could try to find replacement turn signal ones called repeaters but they aren't cheap.

They are most likely Red/Blue strobes (or at least the ones in my car are). Looks like the controller was cut off, so I doubt these would work by simply supplying 12V power. Last I looked, replacement inserts (the whole piece) was still available from GM. If not available from GM, i have a set I'd be willing to sell.

Thanks,

Thanks for the info!

Those Holden pieces look nice, but definitely pricey.

JRWolff...send me a picture of what you have that you might sell. Thanks!

I see this is an older thread but all the Holden sites are sold out as expected. That being said, I found a site that has some that look like they would work but they'd need to be wired up. I'm not sure if they would work to be sure but if I can't find anything better I'll bite the bullet and see how they turn out.

Not sure what aesthetic you're going for, but Maverick Man sells these LED ones at a pretty good price: https://www.maverickmancarbon.com/colle ... de-markers

Yes these fit and have to be wired. You’ll need a connector for them to be wired. I bought a pair like a month ago just waiting on connector to arrive to install them. Gm part number 13576533.
