Oe backup camera - do i already have it?

2012 9c3 car. I've searched, but cannot find if the stock head switches to a backup screen with lines whether it is original and just not equipped, or has been programmed and not connected. It is fresh out of service so i doubt the department sprung for it, but you never know. I have attached a pic of what my screen looks like when i put the car in reverse

Looks like you got it and it's just waiting for an input of video.
Do you have Bluetooth active? Rear seat Entertainment? wonder if the department got er programmed??

Im going to dig into it as i get time, but i did check the 20 pin and nothing is connected

When I was test driving a couple of early Caprices I would get that screen also, but, there was no camera in the trunk lid. One of the cars even had the red Holden logo upon startup. They were probably early demonstration cars.

Yea Maurice I know them early ones were closer to AU spec than most, but his is a 2012, surely worked out all the kinks before that. Unless his got replaced along the way with one from a Early 2011??

Ordered the cables off of smwalker so once those come in we're going to see what this unicorn setup is actually going to be capable of

I got the build sheet through GM and the build date is 1/31/2012, so guess it is possible that could have some of the early experimental stuff, or an early defective replacement

I got my cables from smwalker, just couldnt do any testing yet beacuse basically had to pull the interior to swap parts and clean. I figured may as well pull silver vox for programming now. But i did notice the date code 16/8/2013 so mustve been replaced at one time. May be the reason for the screen working

Oh a 13?? Make sure you have the 20 pin plug on the circuit board for the video input.
Maybe thats why they never got it to work!
You know I would send yout VIN to Chris and see if he has done it yet. Think he might keep track of that!

That's the thing - it has the 20 pin for the video. But my phone wouldn't connect via bluetooth so i'm sure it'll still need programming done
