I have a 2014 Caprice 9C1 with the L77 engine. The lifters were replaced in this engine about 35K miles ago according to the Carfax. I purchased it with 111K miles. At 122K miles, it sounds like one of the AFM lifters is getting noisy. I live in California so I need to maintain the AFM hardware for CA smog checks.
Is there a kit offered by anyone with components to refresh/replace the AFM and standard lifters that includes the necessary bolts and gaskets? Is there a kit with a stock cam as well? I'm trying to see if it's worth spending the money on a lifter refresh and/or with a AFM compatible cam replacement doing the work myself. All of the kits I find by searching online are DOD/AFM delete kits.

I don't think it takes a special cam. Someone on this forum proved a factory LS3 cam works with AFM, and gave the car a nice HP boost.

It seems like someone in California was using the stock LS3 cam with no tuning except for turning off the DOD and they were passing the smog testing. Might poke around some of the Caprice groups on Facebook.

Yup. I remember seeing that. I learned something on that thread. That's the path to DOD deletes in Ca.
