285/30/20 + 255/35/20 on Eibach SS

Post by bigboost »

Hey guys been searching but haven't found a whole lot. Just looking for some feedback from the more experienced guys.

I picked up a set of those Dinan Tesla Model S replicas from Holley during their big sale and am trying to decide what tires I can get away with. I'd like to run the following as I can get a really nice deal on some Pirelli P-Zeroes in that size.

Front Wheel - 20x8.5 - 30mm Offset
Front Tire - 255/35/20

Rear Wheels - 20x10 - 39mm Offset
Rear Tire 285/30/20

The car is lowered on Eibach SS Springs and currently has 245/40 on all 4 corners. Rear fenders are rolled. No real rubbing issues, slight rub on full lock in the front but thats about it.

Ive been running the numbers through all the offset and tire size comparisons and I feel like I should be ok. I'm going down in overall diameter by a fair amount, and the fenders are rolled.

Any thoughts? No chance in hell ? Might rub a tad ? Anyone else on a 285 in the rear and a 255 on the front?

I've never specifically put a 285 on, but have done 275,295,305,315,325.

275 Can fit nice with camaro wheels and rolled fenders, rub slightly at full compression at stock height. Anything larger pretty much requires strange offsets and coilovers.

To get the 295+ sizes to fit, the car has to be raised pretty significantly in the rear.

The 255 fits nice on the front.

the diameter ratio difference front to rear on your proposed setup is 2.7% which is right on the edge of tripping stablitrak constantly.

Yeah I've seen as big as a 305 on stock height, my variable is being lowered.

I did end up deciding to go with a 245/35 for the front to get the front to rear diameter closer.

We'll see if the 285s rub with the Eibachs on, my fingers are crossed!
