Got some of my items for starting the build

Post by slixx »

I'll be starting with the exterior of the vehicle. Future plans include single turbo once finances allow.
First up: 3.27 LSD off an SS Camaro. I'm really looking forward to feeling how this will change the car's demeanor.

I'm still waiting on the Raptor liner to be delivered, the entire exterior will be done in charcoal metallic, with the exception of all the exterior chrome blacked out with Plastidip in case I want those parts shiny again :D .
I bought the adjustable Raptor Liner spray gun to get the really fine texture I desire without having to worry too much about how it will turn out.

Other exterior parts:
Go Rhino push bumper 5083

Ebay 50" cheapo light bar

Engine parts that have or are arriving:
DOD delete with 16 new ls7 lifters
LS3 Head gaskets. I wanted LS9 gaskets but also wanted to save a little $ where I could.

Baseline dyno run should be done this weekend. Then the installation of parts will commence.

Does the Camaro SS 3:27 diff bolt right on? If so, what year is it off of and how much do they go for?

Looking forward to seeing your dyno numbers too!

Holden if you missed my thread I swapped to a 3.27 LSD as well. Yes it pretty much bolts right on.

I got mine for approximately 400 off a 50,000 mile totaled Camaro. I made the seller give me the PN off of the bottom and it all matched up. Bill Smith Auto Parts is where I ordered off of Ebay. It all worked out. Check out my thread

This also shows the PN on the diff well. http://newcaprice.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 2921&hilit" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
13 Caprice 6.0L, Solo catback exhaust, 3.27 diff, VCM OTR and Volant throttle spacer, MSD coils plugs wires, transmission pan upgrade and widemouth filter. Camaro 18" rims.
