I have stocked up and ready to make them up. Cost is $75.00 - Paypal (Friends and family) or Zelle to PPVSteve@Gmail.com - Let me know your shipping address and what year you are installing into. 14+ get the terminals for the X4 radio plug. 11-13 get an RCA male end.

Just installed a WN camera in my 2012. Easy once the radio is programmed and an RCA jack installed. OEM camera clips into stock chrome trim. You will lose your trunk key unless you relocate. Used Steve's harness, still have to route through the car but seems to work. All plug and play except one splice to the backup light.

Very Great write-up. Curious about differences in the deck lids between the years 2011 and 2015. Between my friend and I, we own a 2011,2012 and a 2013. Could we use the factory 2015 camera and trim on any of these or can we make it work? Looks like we just need to cut the square hole for the camera and drill the 2 mounting holes on each side. Thanks in advance for any info.

You just remove the key lock assembly from the trim garnish and install the camera there. The lock assembly is dimensionally the same as the camera. You will need to remove the trim garnish across the back of the trunk. I did buy a 2015 trim garnish to use with the camera. Not for sure but the original trim garnish may work. Keep in mind that you will lose the ability to unlock the trunk manually. I already had a fold down center section where I could pull the emergency trunk release.

Update to a part number for this project - Maybe. Someone looking for the camera at various sites today noticed one site said the camera part number had been replaced by 92288994 - None of the sites had any vehicle fitment information but then again they did not have much for the original part number for the camera. I looked around and found the part number to be used on the 11-13 middle east caprices. Now why a part number from 11-13 would replace a part number for a 2015 model part is beyond me. Still need to find out if the harness that connects to it is the same and if the connector and wires are all the same . Only reason I mention it now is it's $100 less so if you are on the cusp of buying may want to wait till we find out whats up.

Will update with findings.

Just a FYI and a heads up - Got this from another member:

I received the cameras, I ordered from GM out of TX the better 2247 camera for $119 and received the 8994. kinda pisses me off because another dealer had the 8994 for $91. So Ill let you know how it goes. It must be an automatic replacement part #.

Looks like GM playing fast and loose with part numbers!

Could you also check 92288951 the lid harness, just got word that might be discontinued. See any stock anywhere? I need to get my hands on one to copy if discontinued.

Of if anyone has one that you have not installed yet break out the camera and tape measure!!
