Door window trim

Post by Willigaf »

I see the quarter window trim topic beat like a dead horse with a quick search lol.

Well my car has that. But not the trim above the door windows. I’ll be the 1st to tell you I suck at searching for stuff on the internet.

So does anyone know where to find the window trim for above the doors on both sides?

And in the meantime, it’s not a problem for it to be missing right? Besides visually. The weather strip is fine up there so I don’t think the lack of trim is a rain/leak issue.

Can you post any pics of the area of where the trim is missing. I have multiple parts cars and probably will have what you need

Well the molding clip holes are just open to the internal cavities of the roof rail. DO not want to get water in there just for rust reasons, Maybe tape em up till you install your chrome strips? Small holes should not be to bad but just to be safe.

You can find them here and all GM parts sites

https://www.tascaparts.com/v-2013-chevr ... -rear-door

Just make sure about the part u want.

If you needed more information go and ask them on instagram, the guy who manages it helps a lot. Helped me to get all the info i wanted with the steering wheel i ordered At the first working day.

Found some in a little well run JY in Williamstown, NJ. They have 3 NJ transit Capricii in various forms of disrepair. Paid $100+ tax for both trims in good shape. They had a G8 but the console was beat up. AA Auto salvage if anyone needs anything. Talk to Woody for a different jay experience than you’re used to. Not rushed. Gave a darn. Cool place. Couple 10-15 year camaros too.

The clips!!!

Post by Willigaf »

So I have the car back from the mechanic and it runs amazing and is a dang pleasure to drive. While I reconsider selling this 4th vehicle, I do want it to be ready to make a good first impression on any potential buyers.

So I have the door reveals as I believe they are so called. But I need like a dozen of the clips. Or retainers. Or whatever they are called. I think I’ve found the correct item but at $4+ a piece, I am wondering if anyone knows of a cheaper alternative. Not opposed to buying a 50 pack if need be. Also need the screw at the front for each side. I think I saw a source for those on fb and screenshot that a while ago.

Also, in the parts diagram for the part number I found, it looks like there may be a few different retainers and I’m not sure if that is important or if I can use the one kind throughout.
