Does anyone have a drawing of this with the ss steering wheel that has paddles?
i think that is for the button box

the 14-17 caprice uses the same clock spring as the SS , so once the steering wheel is swapped , you need to add a wire from the body side of the clock spring to the bcm , then having he tune changed for the trans to accept the paddle shift
Where do you find the pinout for the bcm plugs?

It’s on the first page in Dons post.

Are the bcms plugs the same from the two generations? If that plug is the same on my 14 I'm good to go I just dont want to cook anything.

Anyone? I really would like to dive into this so we can have a clear answer of what is needed. Is the wiring on the bcm the same as the 11-13's as it is on the 14-17's?

So what I'm gathering is the x3 plug on the 14-17 is the blue plug and I need to add a pin 11 to the blue plug and then run a wire to the clock spring connection 8 that is for the shifter on the ss wheel?

So I'm guessing wire from pin 11 in the blue connector to pin 8 in the clock spring and then turn on tap up and down in hp tuners? What activates the paddles?

But when you do a patent search on his name no patent comes up and he refuses to post the patent number.

Still waiting for the patent information...hmmm

Thanks for all the awesome info. I just built and installed the shift box per the write up and it works great. I’d guess I have 8hrs invested including research and purchasing time.

I got my BCM pin from the junkyard out of a 2012 Cruze. My local dealer wanted $17 ea and I had to buy a pack of 5! That was the hardest part.

Bravo, sir...absolutely bravo! This completely solidifies the claims made that this design doesn't work, when in fact it absolutely does. Kudos to you for the ingenuity and ambition to build one on your own. Love the design.
