Transmission Pan upgrade
I am going to be upgrading my transmission pan to the Camaro this week with video of the install. I have been having issues since the cam job shift in 2 - 3. I will be referencing v8suprcapric post below. Stay tuned!

Re: Transmission Pan upgrade
from what i remember that is the wrong/not suggested filter
24258269 is from the 6l90e , and referred to as the big mouth filter , and the recommended filter to use

Re: Transmission Pan upgrade
Thanks man! Just order the correct one, I would have been scratching my head.
Re: Transmission Pan upgrade
Can you give some source material on this statement?
EDIT: Found this discussion on a CTSV board:
I got the filter from the dealer ACDELCO part #24236933 (this filter fits all cts 2008 to 2012 3.6l , 3.0l and including the V) Once i remove the original filter (filter that came with the car) i was supprised to see a difference. Both filter look almost the same; difference is the original filter has a 1 inch snout to pickup the oil lower in the oil pan. I think this snout is important, so i drove the dealer thinking i had the wrong filter in the box, but not so. Part number 24236933 are all the same without a snout.
The 24236933 does fit but the addidinal snout is missing. The filter required for the CTSV automatic Transmission is AC Delco # 24250826 this number has been superseded by new number AC Delco #24258269
Further: The V's transmission oil pan has a small pocket for that snout and the 3.6l does not.
Can't find pics of what this shout or indentation in the pan looks like??

So which one would I need? I have a 2012 with the V8.
Re: Transmission Pan upgrade
when i got my G8 it was the go to set up , camaro trans pan and 6l90 big mouth filter , i used the b&m trans pan and 6l90 filter in my g8 , and used the same parts in karo's SS
i like the b&m pan better being cast aluminum , and finned , it helps with heat , and the pan rails are thicker which adds some strength to the trans case
pace performance doesnt list the parts used , but they got decent pics - https://paceperformance.com/i-8434163-g ... -6l80.html
here is some pictures of the b&m pan
