Replaced the plugs and wires yesterday. The car runs notably smoother. It didn't clear any codes on the way to, or from PT today, so I cleared them with my code reader. We'll see how it is possibly tomorrow, or certainly Friday, when I return for PT.

If this is the case, I'll note that in all my years I have never changed plugs and wires in a car and had it make any difference unless the car had a cylinder that was either consuming a LOT of oil or was running extremely rich, causing fouled plugs for some reason, or another. The plugs I pulled all looked pretty good. Used, but in good shape. Color was good and not many deposits on them. They were the wrong P/N, according to the O'Reilly's web site, but otherwise looked pretty good for 95,000-mile plugs.

We'll see......

Did you end up finding the reason and a solution? I am too in the same boat. PO308 with my all my wiring, sparks, injector, air intake, smoke and leak down test successfully passing. But yet the misfire is on.

My issue seems to have been. solved. with plugs/wires. I replaced them as a set, since you have to pull the wires to change the plugs, and the wires are already off to change the wires. So far, so good. The car runs smooth, and, more-importantly, no CELs!!
