Dreaded LS tick

Post by DirtNapPat »

SO my car has had a slight tick since I have owned it. I only hear it around 1,500-2K while not under load. Searching seems to show its a pretty common topic. 120K on the car..no crazy idle hours. After a while I did a DOD delete and cam..upgraded oil pump...valvetrain upgrade ..trunion upgrade ect.. and a tune. Oil Pressure is good..but I still get this noise. Never has gotten any louder but still there. A few people say it is normal. I got a video and it sounds way worse on video for some reason. In person it is more faint. Starting to think I may have some piston slap?

Glad you're all set. I'm betting that video is not a good representation of your engine noise. If it was, I'd recommend you shut it off and tear it down, LOL.
