BTR new cam design

Post by Ridgeppv »

I just got off the phone with Brian Tooley Racing to ask about cams for our cars. The tech Department proceeded to tell me one of there guys just picked up a 2014 Caprice 6.0L and they are testing a new cam design just for the L77 engines. They told me it would be about 2 to 3 months before it is released. So, if you are looking to purchase a cam might want to wait a bit. Updates for this cam will be posted to there facebook page.

The guy on the phone sounded pretty pumped about it and suggested I wait. So, I guess ill be waiting then

That’s some good news. I have the Stage 2 Truck cam in a built Yukon I drive occasionally.

Any sneak previews on rough specs? What are the intentions? Or as Dr. Evil might say, "Is it ill-tempered?"

Any update on this?

I've been thinking about the "TRUCK NORRIS" Cam.....

My thoughts are: Heavy Car, Lot's of Torque, and Still good HP up top....

Maybe a "MODIFIED" Truck Norris for the 9C1???

I just got off the phone with them and they told me they just put a LS3 stage 2 cam in that car with a converter. They have no plans of making something specifically for our cars. Sad day. However those dyno graphs of the Truck Norris cam look amazing. When I decide to cam this thing and do the DOD delete I’ll have a hard time picking between the tick stock stall cam and the Truck Norris.

Did they say what torque converter they ran? Also did they do a dyno run after? Curious what they made. The BTR Stage 2 LS3 N/A is a pretty popular cam. Once I get my heads back and finish cam swap can't wait to try it out.
