Broken driver side motor mount, anyone put a torque strap temporarily and made it work?

In the days of yore we used to chain the motor to the frame when "captive" motor mounts weren't yet in vogue. The first thing to go was the shroud for the fan. With the Caprice, it frickin' cracks your A/C line. Ask me how I know.

I had ratchet strap on my GN for about 10 years or so, only did a way with it because I got a great deal on some used/like new H&R motor mounts.

Finally ordered new motor mounts, hopefully they take a year to get here.

i would upgrade to the billet mounts instead of using a strap as a bandaid, those things worked great on the old buick GN's tho
