Anyone done swapped camshaft?

Post by Caprice master »

I have a 2011 caprice 9c1 V8 and i was wondering if anyone in here upgraded thier camshafts? If so what yall using? Im actually searching here and there to find the right cams! I'm not looking for something crazy or anything. I was thinking of getting one that can works out well with my next futre mods like camaro 3.45 diff, either procharger or Cts-v supercharger. How effected would be to keep the DOD with upgraded camshafts? Thanks.

If you cam it, forget about DOD. That's one of the benefits of camming it to begin with. Get rid of the ticking timebomb lifters. I done swapped mine! :D

Do not keep dod. Also if you plan on going FI forget about the 3.45s stick with the 3.27s. the 2.92s would be ideal honestly but the benefits of the camaro housing are worth the loss of traction.

What benefits are there from the housing?

Did you get it dyno tuned afterwards? What kind of numbers are you making?
