Re: PCV or not?

There is rubber plugged nipple on the valley cover just under the throttle body. Not sure why Holden decided not to use this as the dirty side? All I know is I'm getting a bunch of oil on my freshly done cam upgrade now. Any recommendations on catch cans? There's $25 ones on Amazon all the way up t...

Re: Door Latches And The Future

Parts availability and crappy aftermarket in general are what have kept the Caprice on our 'short list' to sell before something does go wrong that can't be fixed. I DO, however, continue to really like the way the car looks and LOVE the way it drives and handles, which is what gives me pause on pos...

I went with the front Brembo setup Bill outlined a while back. Check out page 3 of my project thread:

I've been 1000% pleased with the results.

Re: Water slushing inside doors

Like Sanford said, yep. I use a Q-Tip to clean out the holes. Do them all, because if one is plugged, the others are soon to follow. Interesting that it seems to have become an issue on later-model GM vehicles. Our 2010 Tahoe PPV also had this issue with the back doors. The first time I ever experie...

Re: Low oil pressure

Did you block off the bypass in the oil pan? Did you replace the DOD valley cover with one that blocks off the lifter oil towers? And a dumb question, is the pressure sensor plugged in? Try a new sensor? Is the engine noisy? I'd connect an analog gauge to see actual pressure. And if you replace the...

Re: And it commences.

Be aware on these cars that the in-tank pump can & has failed on people in the past, if it fails unless you want to use a lift and physically drop the gas tank you can get to it from the rear floor pan area.... if you're not squeamish about sawing a hole in the pan. RCG630 had to did that and t...

Is that like a deer rack? Never seen one on a car before  . did it come with it? Yeah, H0ly cow catcher, Batman!! That thing come from Mexico?!? That looks like the grill guards the truck drivers have on their trucks in central Mexico. They use them to push each other up the mountain passes....

Re: Headliner repair?

Yeah, I know that. Been there, done that sort of thing. Didn't know if things had improved any from the '90's. I attempted a recover ONCE. It was on our 1983 Impala F41. I vowed then I'd never do that again. Friends did that sort of work then, and did really good work, so I left it up to them. I'd t...
