Found a work around the BCM on the 11-13 but 14+ was a bit different and we cannot get to the relay as it is soldered to the board:

Jeesh those have shot up in price. And I noticed the 9C3 ones are discontinued. Great. OP you got a 9C1 yea? If you get one keep your old one. I got some sample wires on way from a company that is supposed to have developed a super flexible wire, thinking I could replace wire sections in old harness...

Pic of the extension harness wired up before the heat shrink was sealed. As you can see if you are doing the HUD at the same time you can steal one of the LED backlight wires and send it to the connector for the HUD adjusting switch.
