Re: T-Shirts

Think the 9C1 / 9C3 is a bit of a "inside" reference to us. I think just the "Caprice" reference is more than enough to signify and separate us from the crowd. I mean you would not put Just GT or GXP on a shirt without specifying G8. And further there should be no segregation / s...

Re: rear windows don't work

Maybe I'm confusing our 9C1 with our Tahoe PPV, but I seem to remember someone replacing the rear door switches with replacements from ebay, and getting working rear windows by working them with te rear door switches. It seemed that everything was wired up, but the door switch was a dummy. No you a...

Re: rear windows don't work

Looked at the 11 and 14 wiring diagrams. 11 does not seem to show any interaction with the BCM while 14 does. SO I would say something is physically cut somewhere. Here is the 11 diagram: GM Diagram 9C1 here: https://www.chiltonlibrary.com/content/images/GM/2662596.pdf GM Diagram 9C3 here: https://w...

Re: rear windows don't work

Huh, Also found a newer TSB (March 2016) that seems to confuse things more. Go full screen for this one: http://i.imgur.com/vCm3Kya.png?1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; This listing is Under "available programming options" and under 6N5 it says it is only availabl...

Re: rear windows don't work

So what you need to do is check your SPID label for option 6N5. that is the rear window inop option. The service manual lists it as a KERR industries code. And as you can see by the list below that is mostly physical stuff. I am not sure they do any BCM programming at Kerr . Although that last one &...

Re: Hello from se wi, have a few questions!

It still should be under warrany, i wouldnt do anything till over 100,000 miles You are thinking of KIA. GM only offers the 60K powertrain. EDIT: DOH, I am wrong it is 100K for 2011 vehicles. I assume that is the same for 2013 models. ALthough I recently heard they brought it back down to 60K for 2...

Re: Adding fog lights to the Caprice

Ok just to Update this thread on terminals I have now secured a supply of the following terminals TE/AMP 173681-2 - This is the one that goes into the blank space on the headlight switch. I actually ended up getting part number 173681-1 as this was available from Mouser in smaller lots. Not sure the...
