Re: More PPV Alternator Questions

I'm inclined to believe that the 2 different PN's are interchangeable. As for 14-17 having a lower output, that would be contrary to common sense, given the addition of electric steering in 2014.

Re: Brembo front calipers using 345mm PPV rotors

"Front is a Gen6 Camaro (Alpha chassis) caliper package - no external fluid transfer line, 4-piston, all same size." Should it have an external transfer line? Is it perfectly fine without it? They work great as is, so I'm guessing it's fine. The point is that Gen5 Camaro, SS sedan, and G8...

Re: Softest (least harsh) strut/shock, spring, tire setup?

Owning a 2011 (BL571728) now for nearly 10 years, since late 2012 - from "new" (23 miles on odometer, sold by Jim Ellis Chev as used), I endured the harshness early on. My solution: Replaced PPV springs with SS springs (in 2017) Replaced struts/shocks with new OEM (Monroe AU sourced) parts...

Re: Brembo front calipers using 345mm PPV rotors

Because Adam can't remember all the details, and those are now MY brakes... Can anyone give me the complete details of what's in his pictures? Front is a Gen6 Camaro (Alpha chassis) caliper package - no external fluid transfer line, 4-piston, all same size. Rotor is 345mm replacement for PPV - look...

Re: Hard to find rear rotors Brembo

Don't the Chevy SS Rotors FRONT and REAR work for the Brembo Conversion???? For 2015 - 2017 SS only, this is correct - rear is 360mm x 28mm. 2010-2015 Camaro is 365mm, with a larger 'drum in hat' park brake diameter ~210mm 2014-2017 SS sedan & all PPV have a common 'drum in hat' park brake diam...

Re: TPMS Lower Threshold

Way back in 2013: https://www.newcaprice.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=11&p=2855&hilit=TPMS+alarm+setting#p2855 While later Owner's Manuals do not appear to have had this statement, the 2011 manual contained a statement that 36/36 PSI front & rear was an acceptable pressure for &quo...

Re: 2017 Camaro SS wheels fit?

Will they fit - yes. Pattern & hub center are correct - 120mm bolt circle (NOT 4.75) and 67.1 (give or take) wheel center bore - same as all Zeta platform and specific Alpha platform (Camaro & some Cadillac models) Will they fit correctly - depends. People DO use them and report "no&quo...

Re: 2020 Camaro 18" wheels

Camaro 18 x 8.5 are +32 offset. Can create tire contact issues in rear wheel openings. By comparison, SS sedan front wheels (8.5) are +48 offset and sit much further inward - not the look most are after. In 2020 or 2021, the previous (Gen5) 18x7.5 wheel was offered, don't recall offset camarowheel1....
