Re: Any G8 Console Install How To's?
I think I just used a 3" cutoff tool.

Re: Any G8 Console Install How To's?
It seems way easier to do this method than to drop the exhaust and run a new e-brake cable....is that a true statement? Thanks, Jeff Oh hell yeah! When I picked up some G8 shifter parts from a pick-n-pull far away, the cable was still there but had been cut from the underside. All I had to do was p...

Re: Any G8 Console Install How To's?
One thing though is the brake cable. The 9C1 one will not work. You have to either replace the cable with one for a 9C3 or take the metal bracket that comes on the G8 cable end, cut and modify it to slip it on the existing cable. https://www.newcaprice.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=9601#p9601 https://ww...

All except one still have light bars on them so ???
Another possibility that I just thought of, and which I have seen before, is old patrol cars are used for training. In that case, they are abused like you wouldn't believe.

Re: Yay or nay?
Without seeing it running, you won't be able to tell if it's a problem with a collapsed DOD lifter or an actual rod knock. And not being able to read codes, which would be wiped out with no battery power, doesn't help. And oh that mileage! Personally, I'd be running away from it. It looks and sounds...

Re: 9c3 caprice
And the 9C3 are even rarer so that increases value. Definitely haggle with them on the total payout and what they would deduct if you were to keep it. As mentioned, you could keep the interior parts for the next one if a 2011-13 or resell them. There's a lot of money in all the parts.

Re: Upgrading Sound System in 11-13 Cars
Avery, Sadly, on 2011-2013 you either have to unlock the shitty silverbox or buy an aussie silverbox from ALC which is unlocked has 5 channel output (center channel 15w) vs. 9C1 has 2 speaker outputs 5w. They also have bluetooth, Rear View Camera, USB plug for music or charging your cell phone and ...

I just had a look at that radio and it ain't cheap. $1700 CAD ($1240 USD) not including taxes and shipping, plus it's out of stock. Looked at a double DIN mount that had a separate HVAC control. That one is only $542CAD, not including the radio itself, shipping and taxes. However says it's not for t...
