Re: System updates

OK folks, now that things are reasonably back to normal it's time for some routine system maintenance activities. As customary, twice a year, the semi-annual INACTIVE USER PURGE is here. The following users have 72 hours to make a post on any topic in any subforum or risk dissolution via my zap gun....

Re: Diff help!

Well, you're in luck. The 3.45 LSD works very well on our cars. Found in the manual Camaro SS, 2010-2015. There are plenty of threads on here about the diff with pros & cons, swaps, et al. Supply on these is not what it used to be as the cars & components age a bit, but they are still availa...

Re: Pending code issue - looking for help....

When I had my P0442 I changed both the gas cap & purge valve solenoid and that pre-emptive strike cured it. The seal on the gas cap looked good, although the car at that point had like 130K on it. I picked a brand new solenoid in the box on Ebay for $12 shipped, the gas cap I think was also $10 ...

Re: Minnesota Caprice!

Welcome! And unfortunately we don't have a block heater option that I know of..... it can get COLD up there (looking north from Sunny Florida!).

Glad to have you on-board! Enjoy!

Re: Headliner repair?

Don't forget you always have the Swingline mod to keep the cloth up. A few years back I owned a Porsche Cayenne SUV, it had the alcantara headliner and naturally, on schedule around 100K it started to pooch down. Just the headliner itself was $3k before installation. So I consulted the owner of a lo...

Re: Low Battery message source?

To me this smells like wiring butchery at equipment removal time. A police agency is for sure not going to let a car roll on-shift if that kind of warning message is showing. If equipment was removed chances might be good that people were in there removing wires & lugs from ground points. Make s...

Backup applied to forum - 7/1

Hi folks, Well we had another incident to where I had to request a forum backup be applied to get us back working. I was working on a new extension module to us (the Inactive User Module) and configuring it for use with the system. Well, I got all the email's reworded, but when it came test time the...
