had no idea the ECU could see the octane.

That would make sense why it doesn't "require" super unleaded. if it can sense cheap gas it would pull timing I guess. I have run it with both and getting on it I can feel no difference though.

Finally got a response from a diff ppv group.

New starter came in from rock auto and went to put it on this morning before work......the clip that holds the signal wire on is busted....now I have to wait for a replacement.

JR mine did it once a week before and then it was fine up until she died.

I just wish there was more activity in the PPV community. I guess there really just aren't that many of us out there that have them let alone work on them. I tried joining a PPV group on facebook twice but no response at all. Really wish I could find more info on the car. wondering if I should pull ...

So it left me stranded yesterday and I had ordered a new GM starter from Rock Auto a few hours before it happened.....just in case I was going to need it. So I this morning I pull the old starter, bench tested it and it spins but doesn't sound right at all. But holy heck have any of you ever changed...

with gas being so expensive right now I will just run 87 until someday I do a cam and a tune.

Don't know how to check key fob status. Could possibly be starter. But the click wasn't really as loud as I would expect for that although it was the starter clicking. 2011 ppv ran great last couple of months. New battery 2 months ago. Drove yesterday fine and this morning a single click Threw charger on it.....couple hours later....single click at starter.
