Re: Truck Norris/ Low Buck Truck Cams and Successfully Passing an Emission Test in Texas
Heh, yep! I had an exhaust leak trip me up. Fixed the leak, then instinctively reset the code. IIRC, there was one code. Took it to get inspection. Nope, 4 sensors not ready. They told me to drive it a bit, then come back. Since I was working from home, driving was kind of a big deal. After a...

Re: L77 build
<SNIP> Slip the belt off and spin the pulleys. If the bearings are dry you can hear the ball bearings rattle. You can replace just the pulley, or I learned years ago you can lube then with a grease needle. I'd replace with OEM while parts are still available, and if the pulley bearing is just okay,...

Re: Truck Norris/ Low Buck Truck Cams and Successfully Passing an Emission Test in Texas
Note that in Texas, all they do is plug into the ODB port and scan for MILs. A lumpy idle might have someone raise an eyebrow, but as long as there's no lights on the dash, no MILs and no more than 2 sensors are in a 'not-ready' state, you're golden. IIRC, someone years ago installed a stock LS3 cam...

Re: 11-13 Replacement Radio Knob
The quality of the IPF Racing knobs look to be extremely low quality 3D printing. I would expect we could do considerably better in quality. The color and shape would be better as well. Maybe I need a 3D scanner... It's several concentric circles/cylinders. I'd expect that to be easier to just do i...

Re: My Alchemy Purple Holden CapriceV
Interesting color. Heh, yeah, some folks have issues trying to get the Chevy Caprice insured, I can't imagine trying to do a Holden, even though it's pretty much the same car.

Re: rear seat overhead handles and hanger hooks
That looks a lot like the clips that hold other trim on the car. I say that because while finding JC handle retainer clips will be hen's teeth in a Caprice, perhaps the B-pillar or front kick panel clips can be found off a wrecked car? Maybe even a G8/SS?
