The junk radio is.....well......junk
Went out to do a tuner alignment tonight. Got really tired of the junk audio system sounding like it had a lisp (like it was not full tuned into the station). So, after doing this alignment (which looked like it went ok) , I have nothing! No sound, unable to manually tune a station, no nothing. Stil...

Re: Speakers - Upgrades?
So, has anybody done any upgrades?
I am so displeased (?) with the audio in these cars that knowing what I know now, I would not have bought the car. Should have gone with a two-year-old CTS-V like I originally planned........

Power Enhancer
Was wondering if GM Performance offers some kind of supercharger kit that would be adaptable to our Caprices? Wanted: more power!
Thanks!

Re: Speakers - Upgrades?
I agree with Bill. Dynomat, or Fatmat has to get put in. IMHO, these cars are noisy inside to start with. Can't hurt putting in some sound deadening.

Interestingly enough, I think my FM reception is poor, too; hence the switch to satellite.

Re: Does Anyone Know What Kind of Radio Antennas We Have?
Thanks, Bill. After re-reading my post, I should have said that I was looking for a way to convert the antenna plug (from the harness to the radio) from the (Fakra??) style which is used on these cars now, to the Motorola style bayonette plug. I need to go both ways - male Fakra, to female Motorola ...

Does Anyone Know What Kind of Radio Antennas We Have?
Hi guys,
I'm looking to put a Sirius radio receiver in my Caprice, but it's got those (FAKRA?) antenna connections and I have to convert them (with adapters) to Motorola-style. The images I've looked at mirror those of a VW, or Subaru set up.
Any ideas?
Thanx

Re: A few annoyances
Hi guys, I agree with most of the issues brought up. My biggest complaint by-far is the audio system. I just plain sucks, compared to what's out there for oem equipment (I miss my satellite!!). Second (but not by much) is the fuel mileage. I'm currently averaging 19.3 mpg, combined. Seems to me that...
