CAPRICE PPV #2 GM LS3 INSTALL WITH DYNO #'S

Today I picked up Caprice #2 from Norris Motorsports in Plainfield. Let me start off by saying Mike Norris is JUST AWESOME! The last shop was less than a good experience. Mike fixed their problems quickly with real hp tune and not something a guy from the internet gave him on a thumb drive. That why I brought the 2nd Caprice to him. We went with a brand new gm crate LS3 430hp and Mike installed a BTR Stage 1 Cam, added trunion, springs, new valves and new injectors since my car had 175k. We added Stainless Works Headers, Hi Flo Cats, X Pipe And Exhaust. Mike had to added some pipe since the exhaust was designed for an SS. I also went went a New GM Performance 6l80E and a Camaro SS 3.45 Rear Diff with new bushings. Like before it was cheaper to install a new driveshaft from end to end with the center bushing. Installed another VTR ram air intake. Well the the numbers dont lie! 423 RWHP vs 333hp for the Jasper 6.0 with DOD Delete tor was 395 vs 355. We lost 30-35hp after installing the 3.45 vs 2.92 stock rear diff. I took a ride in a friends SS that was bone stock except a 3.91 rear diff from a 1LE Camaro and it alone was probably work .5 sec 0-60 & 1/4 mi. It honestly felt like a different car. I have to play nice with this Caprice for 500 miles but it sounds amazing and looks like gm did it! I dropped off a 2009 Police Tahoe with you guessed it a ticking DOD problem. We are dropping in a New Crate LS3 so I can quit wasting money on new gm engines that have dod. Ive done (6) 5.3's this year alone! 1 had 25k on it. GM spent 25hrs on rebuilding both heads and installing a new cam. When Mike is done with the Tahoe I am bringing back the 1st Caprice to add a camshaft, headers, cats & x pipe and Camaro SS Rear Diff. The 3rd Caprice will be the powerhouse LS9 with TR-6060 and ZR1 Rear Diff with 3.91. It will also Get GM ZL1 6 Piston Brakes and ZL1 Lace Wheels. Stay Tuned.
