Is Bank 2 on the right or left side of Motor ???

Post by Capeasy »

Yes I'm 99.9% sure Bank 2 was on the pass side until I started to look at a wiring Schematic and it shows Bank 2 on the LEFT side ??
Can someone please clear this up for me?

I'll attach a screenshot of the 2013 6.0L engine wiring schematic. :?

You are correct. The 2011 FSM colors match what you have shown. They should have the left and right out of the connection location. Bank 1 has always been the side of the engine where number 1 cylinder is located.

I'm no electrical engineer and am probably the worse person to hand a wiring schematic to lol.
When I pulled up a 2014 wiring schematic it identifies the bank 2 on the righthand side , that's what confused me.
I'll try to post that 2014 image up.
Seems like there's no consistency between the two years 13 and a 14? Unless I'm reading it wrong?
But Steve (smwalker) was kind enough to send me schematic information so I can repair a Bank 2 Sensor 1 O2 sensor connector that I still am trying to pull the harness out to repair.

on the LS , like all small and big blocks , #1 is front cylinder on the driver side , and this would be bank 1 pass side is bank 2

on a duramax bank 1 is pass side , and bank 2 is driver , the LFX maybe the same
