Correct front struts

Post by gem1410 »

I am working on my 2015 Caprice v8 and cannot find struts that match the overall rod length of the original gm 92294077 strut--I have tried both the Monroe direct fit 553019 and the direct fit FCS AUTO FCS333821r--Both of the direct replacement struts have rods 1.5 to 2 inches shorter then the original which means I cannot get the spring on them and they are not even close to the extended length of the gm strut -- any ideas what to get as i am out of ideas--Thanks George

GEM1410,
On the third page of my post another member ran into something similar. See below:

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=835&hilit=struts&start=20

I believe that he ended up ordering the factory struts.

Regards,

Maurice
