"I wonder what my oil pressure is?" I asked myself.
Will my old engine scanner show the oil pressure in the live data streams it has? No!
Will the newer scanner that can do ABS and SIR codes show oil pressure? No! It doesn't show any live data.
Will the "Tech 2" software that came with the DXDIAG show the oil pressure? Yes! And it's the most counter intuitive piece of software I've ever used!
But I now know that my oil pressure reads 25-27 psi at idle and 55-60 psi at 4,000 rpm with the coolant reading 200°F.
What got me curious is a buddy plugged his HPTuner module in and it read 55 at idle a few days before my pressure sender failed.
I wish they'd given us a gauge. I'm going to have to get a gauge. I want a gauge.
