So what are real world prices for a 9C1 and 9C3?

Post by eagle-co94 »

I've seen a bunch of ads and auctions on ebay but I'm curious what everyone has been getting their cars for? I will post what I paid for mine once it gets here because I want to be sure that it's exactly what I was hoping for.

If you don't mind posting what prices you paid and what year, trim and mileage your car had on it that'd be great. KBB has no info on PPV's so I figured this would be a great way to gauge the market...and find out where I stand.

I bought my 2011 9C3 in October of 2012 for <$25,000. It had 41 miles on it when I started to talk to the dealership. Six days later it had 1,400 miles on it, but it was mine! They "sold" it to a LE dept, bought it back and sold it as "used". Yay me!

August/September 2012, 9C3, 9K miles, $26,005 plus fees/taxes. My car was a GM fleet demo vehicle then a dealer demo for a little while before it was sold.

My 2011 Caprice 9C1 w/16k miles in October 2013 paid $23,000. It also had about $2000 in emergency equipment still in it and sold some of it, so after that I paid about $22,000.

2011 Caprice 9C3 sold to me as new in October 2013 paid $24k+ttl+bogus dealer docu fees ~ ~ ~ 26k OTD.

$/HP ratio=26,000/355= $73 per horse power tax included, hard to beat isn't it?

FYI... there are some differences between the 2011 and 2012 models...

2012 added the knee bolster airbags, and you can completely turn off Stabilitrak! :-)

Got mine in March with 16, 000 miles on a 2011 9c3 and I paid 21k plus tax , etc . I would do it again , I have never been this happy with a car . The only thing that would have made it better , would have been to get the first ones that were released to the public before GM put a stop to it .
