Has anyone swapped a TS&P cam with the AFM? Or has anyone seen a thread of it? Ive been doing research as im trying to get 370whp about these and only 2 places have been the Hot Rod article where they cheated, and 1 single mention on Camaro5 where they said someone else gained 20whp. I cant be the only guy whose looked into this. Im just wondering how much of an increase a L77 would get

What are the specs of the cam you are looking at? There is multiple people running cams with the DOD system still in place and functioning normally, I have a OEM LS3 and its tuned for 93 octane which was rated to what 430 HP in a stock camaro/vette?

It will not. TSP is very easy to talk to and very helpful, worth giving them a call.

The L77 does not have the necessary hardware for VVT. In addition to a VVT cam, it requires a specific oil pump, cam phaser, some electrical connections, timing cover, tune, and probably more stuff I don't even know about! Is it possible to convert the L77 to VVT? Maybe, but it's not worth considering in my opinion. You are probably better off spending the money elsewhere.

Lol they said none of their cams work while having active DoD, asked about vvt and they said the cam wont work anyway. I set them the link above and asked if i have the AFM feature tuned out if it would still be useable and well...

TSP gave you the right advice. As stated above, that is a VVT cam. The Caprice does not have VVT, so using it in a Caprice would be asinine. Why are you so set on putting a VVT cam in a non-VVT engine? It really makes no sense at all. Like negative sense. You should google VVT to get a basic understanding of how it works. After that, it should be pretty clear why you shouldn't put a VVT cam in a non-VVT engine.
