Small gains. Most of everything is bolted down. Intake, fans, coolant, rocker arms, reinstall cowl. So close!! ICT valley plate looks killer. I would recommend it over the stock ls3 one. Too bad the intake will be hiding it :(.

Intake on. Lol forgot the damn steam vent. Half tempted to just delete them like I’ve done in the past. Ehhh. I’ll get it fixed tomorrow. Tomorrow will get it running I think. I’m just missing a few parts still.

It’s 99% together.

Fired it up and it sounds great! So happy it’s running now.

Just needs some coolant, control arm replaced, and aligned.

Ok runs and goes. I hit up Charles Barber for a good tune and got that in the car. Seems like it’s going to be pretty quick car. Unfortunately it’s very icy out. So a good data log is hard to do right now. The long term fuel trims were all hitting zero while I glanced at the scanner so that’s great.

Car has either a bent wheel and or bad tire. Steering wheel doesn’t shake but entire car has some sort of vibration from that area. Something is wrong. Doesn’t like drive over 50 mph. So that will require some attention. It’s unreal how screwed up a car can get with only 40,000 miles on it.

Trying to keep a positive attitude.

Ok. Small update. Drove car 500 miles. Changed oil. Everything looked decent. The bearings are getting to know each other. Cars is driving alright. Engine is dead silent. Feel pretty damn good about it. Think I’m going to drive it another 500 miles or so and change the oil again. I’m not really sure the best process for “breaking in” an engine that had 105,000 miles on it so we are just gonna do what feels good. I think once it gets 2,000 miles on it we’ll just proceed with normal oil change intervals.
