Front suspension

Post by Dudzikzzz »

Hello. I have knocking noises in the front suspension all the time. I would like to buy new front shock absorbers for PPV 2014. Could someone give me the part numbers that fit. are they the same as in g8 and ppv 2013?

14-17 are not sme as 13 and older cars

92294078 , 92294077

use whiteline or other urathane upper strut mounts , do not use rubber/oe type

might also want to replace the swaybar end links , and both the lower control arms

I have superpro top mounts. on the rockauto website there are Acdelco shock absorbers for the 2013 model year, it's a pity they don't fit, they are much cheapter

The Whiteline or urethane upper mounts will mitigate a lot of the clunking noises, but not all. Not sure if there's a way to do that, but they are certainly better over OEM rubber.

Me too! My car has 147K right now, about 1-2K miles ago it started doing the clunkety-clunk on the right side front going over bumps and rough patches on roadways. Local shop I routinely use looked at it and their opinion was the strut and swaybar links needed forklifting.

As these cars age we'll get a better feel for what fails routinely & when....

According to Jegs the FCS 333821R fit 2014-2017 Caprices, so I'd say so.

The shock absorbers have already arrived. They fit perfectly, the old ones make a clicking noise when I move them
