? about Improved Racing VCM OTR Intake

Post by FastKyPPV »

Bought 2012 Caprice 3 months ago with a Rotofab intake. Didn’t like how it fit and looked, so I put the factory intake on for a week. Then I came across this VCM OTR intake which I liked the looks of it and liked how it didn’t lay on top of the hot radiator hose and had a cleaner look. Question should I cut the hood seal or not? mine is not cut but I didn’t know if it makes a difference I can see where it would and wouldn’t. So far the car ran better with the Rotofab intake than all the other intakes. Didn’t know if the hood seal choked it down or what am I missing. I’am still using a maf also

its not necessary , the intake has ampel open space

i have one on my SS , and the upper area doesnt get air fed into it like it would on the caprice , or on a G8

the rotofab has more sound than the VCM , so dont judge performance by that
