DOD delete oil pump question

Post by 6LTurd »

What’s a good oil pump to run when doing DOD delete? Is it needed? I was looking at Melling but there’s more than a few options and want to make sure whatever I get works. Going with a stage 2 BTR cam

the stock oil pump is plenty fine , our oil pump was used in the performance applications as well , 1 example is the LSA motor

so our pump is not super special because of the DOD

if it was working before it will still work

the main reason anyone replaces the oil pump is piece of mind , and/or very high mile car

so its basically what ever makes you feel warm and cozy at night , just dont spend to much thought or youll keep overthinking it
