Door Handles

Post by Z09SS »

Today I noticed that the, painted, door handles on my Equinox sure look a lot like the pebbled plastic of my PPV...

Has anyone tried to use a painted handle from a different car? I'm almost ambitious enough to try an experimental swap between my cars.

Think our search for old threads is a little wonky lately. I bumped the relevant thread:

http://newcaprice.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... =263#p2239

Got info for both PPV models in there I believe.

What year and color is your car? The eBay links in the other thread are broken, but you can find GM accessories parts for both cars, most likely even color matched to your paint, on eBay for both years. 11-13 are currently about $200 and 14+ can be had for $40ish.

My car is a '12. I figured it out.

I have a 14+ set for sale. New in plastic silver-ice and chrome GM 20919348 plus a spare GM 25936865A keyhole for the passenger side.

What handles did you get for your 2012? I'd love to do that.

I did a search for "G8 door handles" on ebay and found those.

Example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/372550296633

They're aftermarket.

Get two sets of the ones I linked. They're sided, but identical front to back. That's confusing...

Left side handles work on both left doors and right side on both right doors. Ordering two sets gives you two covers for the keyholes and all four doors.

Thank you!

I actually have 3 handles from a junkyard G8, was just missing the driver's front... so this is fantastic!
