I started the cam swap and found the timing chain to be completely destroyed! I'm glad it was though, otherwise I wouldn't have known to upgrade it to an LS2 chain and tensioner. I'm sure it was probably cutting off some oil flow too!

Here's a couple pictures from the cam swap. honestly it was all super easy for being my first time tearing into a motor. I also used an ICT valley cover. Also not noted before I also installed
BTR 7.425 pushrods and BTR Platinum dual spring kit with titanium retainers.

So with all of that, That is where I am at in the build right now! Cam is in and running. I have a couple vacuum leaks to track down I think. And I am getting ready to start on the hotside soon! once I sell my VCM intake and my headers so i can buy a MIG.

Damn, lots of nice work. I should have waited before receiving 20+ email notifications!

Solid build so far. And still a gorgeous car.

Wow, I had no idea the chain tensioners could shatter like that! Kind of like the old GM plastic-wrapped cam gears.

Great build. I'm looking forward to the turbo layout. What are you using for manifolds? Thanks for posting, this is exactly what I want build. I'm going to pick up a 2012 Saturday.

I'm going to use the stock manifolds, and cut and butcher them however needed. Stock manifolds have proven to be good on turbo builds well past 1000hp! I'm going to run 2.25 split hotside, into the divided flange

Found the Dyno sheet.
This was with intake, headers, exhaust, under drive pulley, on 91 pump.
