underdrive pulleys?

Post by CrashTestDummy »

Has anyone installed underdrive pulleys on their car? I'm wondering which units work?

We purchased our 96 SS with a crank underdrive pulley, and have seen zero issues with it. The steering is fine, and while the headlights get a bit dim when sitting at a light, we have otherwise had no issues with the electrical system on the car, and it's running an electric water pump.

Just wondering. I figure it could free up some parasitic HP, and if you're already in there doing cam swaps and so forth, why not? I just can't figure out which pieces to pick up.

Thanks. I'll have to keep that one in mind when/if we do a cam change on our car.
