Looks like all the problems with DOD/AFM might bite them in the ass.

Haha, I love how they call them "Small Block" engines. I especially like the capital "S" and the capital "B."

Finally, it starts. Now to get a bigger vehicle list covered under the Class.

It's most likely only for those who replaced the failed components with factory AFM parts. So, that won't help others who actually corrected the issue with an AFM delete.

Well, don't forget a lot of these actions start small and then they are greatly expanded. The first hurdle is past, someone actually filed on something related to AFM. 8 plaintiffs don't necessarily make a class, you have to get it certified. Then there's always the further investigation and fact-finding. Will this first suit pan out for Caprice owners? Probably not. But at least the foundation is being laid upon which to build the house..... One successful suit brings others :)

A valid point sir. If I don't find my glass half empty, it's because I accidentally picked up another's. ;)

Have heard that it's only 2014+ that are currently included.

https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2021 ... suit.shtml

2014-2017 Caprices aren't included but that could be an oversight given its particular use and low production.

Maybe if people from previous years contact the law firm they might get included. it has been a problem since the first ones that came out in 2005 in the GMT360 like the TrailBlazer and Envoy.

It still hurts them as word gets out that their engines are unreliable. I know they're in Consumer Reports crosshairs now.

DOD/AFM has been a PITA since its inception. Thank heavens I don't have it in my 2021 Sierra Duramax 3.0L although it has problems of its own.
