2014 SS owner's manual

Post by elc32955 »

The 2014 SS owner's guide is up on the GM web site for download. Here's a linky for your reading pleasure....

http://www.chevrolet.com/content/dam/Ch ... _sedan.pdf

I'd swear if I was just casually flipping through it that I was reading a PPV owner's manual.... at least it's formatted the same.

Cool.

The real WTF is to open the document in your favorite PDF reader, then search (starting at the beginning) for the word "trailer". Read all of the blurbs about how towing a trailer can affect certain systems and weight distributions of the car. Wouldn't these blurbs imply that it's reasonable to tow a trailer?

Then jump to page 9-50.

GM is at it again. LMAO. What a joke. Let me spend $40K+ on a very heavy car, with a powerful V8, a reliable 6L80E (derived from the 4L80E which is a TRUCK transmission), RWD, and performance brakes. Then don't forget to run out to your local Chevy dealer and pick up a top-heavy, underpowered SUV of choice... just to tow a trailer. Hmmmm.

Meanwhile I see Toyota's (the Prius is especially funny), Kia's and Hyundai's all day long with trailer hitches...........

Holden cars are sold all day long in Australia with optional hitches direct from GM. Hilarious. We aren't dumb GM. Continual uber FAIL.
