Track time.

Made it to the track after converter install. 12.7 @108 not too shabby for a heavy chevy with bolt ons.

Can you post the info from your timeslip?

I'm curious to see your 60' time, 1/8 mile time & MPH, etc.

Thanks!

Hey, Gateway Raceway, that's St. Louis right? Been there years ago during one of the Impalapaloozas. Ran upper 14s in my B-Body Caprice. Eliminated pretty quick in the brackets because my car wasn't being consistent. It was a fun day and evening. I got a ton of passes in. You would have figured I would have nailed down the time.

Oh my '95 Caprice isn't stock. It has the usual popular mods: 3.42 gears, 2.5" stainless exhaust, CAI, throttle body coolant bypass, AIR delete, Crane ignition, trans shift kit, MMC driveshaft, custom program using LT1-Edit, cooling fan override switches, and I may have been running Impala SS wheels and tires at the time which hook up better. All of that to gain 1 second. LOL.

Or spend $$$$$$$ on a new 2011 Caprice and gain a few more seconds. Hehehe.

Unfortunately the '95 Caprice has been retired from racing. Thrust bearing is completely shot (probably from the torque converter ballooning from all those years of launching, hehe) and engine is just tired now. Second gear is messed up in the trans, no engine braking going down hills, could be the overrun clutches too, not sure. Fourth trans rebuild is coming up I guess. I've had the car since 30K miles (now 170K), and it's been through a lot with me. It's just a summer grocery-getter now and will probably live out the rest of her years that way.
