Nice, but you should've gotten an LSA or an LS7.fuzzkill wrote:Presented without comment ...

I'm always accepting donations if you'd like to see something else swapped in. I already have an LSA blower ready to go into my SCSB Colorado and my 240Z has an aftermarket blower on its LS. Trying to keep the DD a little more reasonable but leaving the DOD isn't on the table so here we are.gregc wrote:Nice, but you should've gotten an LSA or an LS7.fuzzkill wrote:Presented without comment ...
It's an LS3/TR6060 dropout. Once I pull the L77/6L80E I'll be able to sell that as a complete swap to someone looking for one so I should make back a decent amount from that (or part it out if needed).
Re: Caprice ... work in progress
Ordered a bunch more parts.
Got the harness, shifter, pedals, etc from Pace Performance. Should be here next week.
Ordered a Texas Speed stage 1 LS3 cam 225/236 .629"/.615". Should be here next week.
Ordered a 3.45 differential assembly from a 2011 Camaro SS. I think it might have even been the same car I got the dropout from. That arrived yesterday.
Almost have all the pieces ...

Re: Caprice ... work in progress
Got started on the swap!
To recap:
LS3/TR6060
Camaro SS 3.45 LSD diff
Conversion parts: Shifter, harness, brake and clutch pedal assembles, hydraulics
So much room for activities!
Going to pull the assembly off of the subframe next and set it aside. Looking to sell it complete.
Looking at the GXP harness, everything looks good to go compared to the Caprice harness.
TSP cam arrived today, will start to open up the LS3 to install that and then start to stage everything for re installation.

Got the power train out. Started taking apart the front of the LS3 for the cam and spring install. Will post more pictures as I get more done.

Re: Caprice ... work in progress
Cam is swapped, and new valvetrain hardware has been installed and buttoned up. Need to pressure wash the new motor ...
Going to pull the old motor off of the subframe and start working on the interior/hydraulics next. Then resetting the new drivetrain on the cradle, and putting it all together.
