first time to the track

Post by greasychevy »

So went to the track last night to see how the car runs. i was expecting some wheel spinning but not as much as i got. gunna have to purchase some tires if i want to get a reasonable time. anyway....15.5 @ 103. first run easing into the launch with some slip and 2nd gear spin was 13.5@ 105. i think high 12s are possible with some tires, maybe converter.

Cool! I miss the days of doing that every week. I don't do it much now because -- well -- I don't really have an excuse except the tracks closest to me are geographically undesirable (over an hour away) since I moved 10 years ago. I gotta run my car this year!

That is cool. I have run the 1\8 mile with mine and did a 9.33 @ 77 mph. Looking forward to running the 1\4 but that may not be until the ISSCA Impala Nationals at zMAX in August.

Great result! I'd be more than happy with that for a first go.

My best was 13.89 @ 101. Stock aside from CAI/tune. I also took out the spare wheel to save weight. :P
