The Caprice build

Post by Dut_The_SS_nuT »

Lets start out with the first 9C1 I bought. I drove from Wichita KS to basically Indianapolis to pick up this one. 72 hours after purchase, my wife went out for a joy ride in the middle of the night and lost control of the car at 105 mph, left the road and went backwards through a ditch and went airborne for about 50ft and walked away with bumps and scratches

Ebay g8 axle back to be modified to fit. Next will come the Camaro cat delete and x pipe from BBK. Since a couple of guys have used stock Camaro stuff, I figure the aftermarket stuff should be pretty close with some minor modifications

Where's the pics of your wife's tombstone?

The camaro exhaust parts only bolt up to the camaro OEM cat down pipes and forward exhaust section, the tubes don't run anywhere close to where the PPV/g8 ones are and don't even use the 1 pair of front hangers. That said, good reason to get some longtubes.....

She walked away with bumps and scratches, the car crumpled everywhere it's supposed to. The car was bent like a banana, and the trunk and all of its contents were where the back seat should have been. The ass end of the car came out from under it, and she spun sideways. The signs (ironically the giant "curve" arrow signs smacked the windshield as she started to loose it, car went completely backwards, through the ditch, all backwards, and over the crossing road.

The plan is to use the entire BBK exhaust and to cut and move anywhere needed. The headers are just too damn much money

I think he was referring to the fact that she took it out and totaled it at 0300 at speeds exceeding 100 MPH less than three days after you got the car home, and YOU didn't kill her?!? Hopefully, you had the insurance in order, even if the tags and registration weren't complete yet.

It's great she survived without too many injuries. I'm sure she was sore, though. That could have ended very differently with things being just a couple of inches one way or the other.

These cars are really built like trucks! That's one of the reason we have one in our garage. The Aussies designed those things to survive the outback. The countryside in the US is NOTHING to these things!!!
