Here is a 14 evaporator with about 140K miles on it. Even with the cabin filter in place still get some debris build up in there.

The stop leak has finally quit working so, I have to dive into this. Thank you to everyone who responded!

SMWALKER, did you have to remove the steering wheel and column?

Since this was brought back up, I’ll add that the leak on our ‘12 was at the high side charging port. It appears to be a common problem. The charging port is replaceable, and pretty cheap, IIRC. It took longer to discharge/recharge the system than R&R the port.

I removed mine as part of a complete vehicle swap so I am not sure if you can get away with only removing the passenger side of the dash to sneak it out (I doubt it) . Let me look at the service manual tonight and I will post what they say.

Yea looks like column has to come out. #7 the Tie Bar assembly is the main structure under the dash cover.

Then the steps to take the Tie Bar out mention the column:

I am really thankful for those who offered the assistance. It ended up not being the evaporator, instead it was the high pressure line that connects to the compressor! Much easier to replace.
