All original 9C1 for sale

Post by 9C1fanatic »

I plan to post this on some B Body forums but thought I would start here since many folks here are still in the B Body world.

Just picked up a brand new 2014 Caprice so wife says I have to lose one.

1995 Caprice 9C1 ex city of Abilene police car.
Car was used for patrol from 1995-2000, used as an unmarked CID vehicle from 2000-2009, I bought it at Auction in 2009 with 155,000.
204,000 miles
dark blue metallic
cold A/C
LT1, G80 diff, rubber floor, vinyl back seat, tinted windows, cruise, tilt, LH spotlight
Car is all original including factory exhaust, no mods ever done on this car.
clear coat is gone from all top surfaces, no rust, a few minor dents, two holes in roof.

Car would be a great to restore and would be easy to bring it back to its former glory or makes an excellent back up 9C1. Runs great.
Thinking around $1500. I would love to sell this car to a 9C1 enthusiast rather than seeing it donked!

PM if interested or any questions. Thanks.

Thanks.

Paint looks worse now than in photo on top surfaces.

Nice looking B-body. I ended up keeping mine until 213K, got $4K out of it with the mods mostly intact. My 95 was ex-Virginia State Patrol.... always thought that that agency had the nicest looking cars with Medium Adriatic Blue...

I wish I had a place for it. You should be able to get $1500 for it in about a half hour. :)

If you were closer, I'd already be at your door with $1500 cash in-hand. If that were a station wagon, I'd be getting on an airplane right now.

That is one of my favorite colors on a B-Body.

Thanks, to Garner. I am very happy with the car! Made the almost 900 mile trip back to Omaha with the weather being the only problem.
I've already started/continued the TLC that the car deserves, thanks to the extras Garner offered with the sale.

Regards,

Maurice

Congrats. If you didn't take it, I was second in line. Instead, I found my own 9C1...Wimpala. :( Mine went for $1100 with a dead battery and an "undiagnosed problem". All it needed was a battery, so I guess I did ok. They make decent beaters, but that's about it.

Maurice,
Glad you had a good trip. I would expect nothing less in these cars. Its been a long time since I have had a 9C1 across state lines! I intend to change that this summer with a trip to Yellow Stone with the 2014 9C1.

Brandon, your right about the FWD "9C1s". I almost bought one of those back in 2009 for my wife's DD for the fuel mileage, but I hit myself and remembered the reason, I got rid of my 2004 Impala SS L67 was the FWD. I ended up getting the 95 9C1 instead. For what its worth, The Impala 9C1 is to date, the most reliable, most "successful" FWD police car ever built.

And by the way, turns out Maurice and I both have some good experience with the W platform and 3800 engines. Hit us up if you need anything. First thing I would replace are those leaking prone plastic 9o degree coolant elbows that always leak on the L36 AND L67 engines.

Thanks Garner. I have experience with a good number of 3800 cars, most of them being Bonnevilles. As nice as this one turned out, I'm probably just going to flip it. I'm sure I can get $2500 for it, and all I had to do was put a battery in it and clean it up. I thought about driving it for a while, but it's not my cup of tea. Thank for the offer to help out!
