Heh, that's how we got our 95 9C1. It had a 'transmission problem'. It ran fine, but started in second, and I think upshifted to 3rd, only. Since we were looking for a DD for my wife, and it was priced right, even with a possible $1000 transmission repair bill, we drove it home. We took it to a shop where other Impala SS club members had taken their ailing SSs, and they called us back in about an hour letting us know that the main transmission harness was unplugged, and when they reseated the connector, the transmission ran as expected.bsparks72 wrote:Congrats. If you didn't take it, I was second in line. Instead, I found my own 9C1...Wimpala. Mine went for $1100 with a dead battery and an "undiagnosed problem". All it needed was a battery, so I guess I did ok. They make decent beaters, but that's about it.
My wife has put about another 100K miles on the car. It now has just short of 200K on the clock and everything but the temperature gauge works. It is currently available, since we replaced it with her Tahoe PPV.
