Post by elc32955 »

This 2011 9C3 car with an L77 is outside Chicago in the Hammond, IL area. $19K listed. 47K miles. Fresh ad, less then 1 day old. Not many 9C3's are coming up so someone go get it!

Not really when you can get a 14+ car for that kind of money. Which are infinately better cars. But someone will pay for it. It is nice that it is black and doesn’t have a bunch of holes punched in it.

Electric steering and column shift. Oh wait, you asked what was better about the 2014s. Sorry, nothing is better, unless you like the way the interior looks, but looks are subjective. 2011-2013 9C3s will always be the most sought after Caprices.

X2 on the buying ORIGINAL 9C3, first cars made will always be worth more....the infotainment setup on the 14+ is just rental car lame looking that and weird column shifter isn't for me... Any upgrade part on a 14+ like suspension goes right on my 2011 and the motor etc are all the same

14+ cars are updated. Electric power steering, updated interior, updated suspension. I had a 13. Sold it to get a 14. 14 is a brake change away from being a 2014 SS. 13 and older cars are G8s. If you blindfolded someone and took them for a ride in a 13 and then a 14, they wouldn’t think it’s even the same car. Chassis is stiffer as well I believe. Suspension upgrades include better sway bars and aluminum lower control arms and just a bunch of updates, WN and VF cars got upgrades in 14.

I have a 17 SS. I bought a 13 Caprice. Super nice car. Hated the interior. Worst hvac and radio controls I’ve ever seen, hated the uncomfortable steering wheel. It just constantly reminded me of how great my SS was by comparison. Bought a 2014. Every time I drive it it reminds me that it’s the same car as the SS. Where as the 13 never felt even remotely the same.

A lot of it is subjective. A lot of it is not. If you like the interior more or not is your call. But it 100% has upgraded and better suspension though.
