Dome "Ticket" Light Removal

Post by NJ 9C3 »

Hey everyone, I recently picked up a 9C3 and for whatever reason they installed the ugly ticket light. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience in removing them and how difficult/expensive it is to remove it. I've attached pictures of the one in mine.

That was an option the early 9C3's had. Mine has it. It is desirable to keep, but there are those who would buy it from you.

YOU CAN REMOVE THE FRONT SUNGLASS/DOMELIGHT ASSEMBLY PRETTY EASY TO GET ACCESS TO ABOVE THE TICKET LIGHT TO SEE IF THERE IS SOMETHING YOU COULD UNSCREW TO RELEASE IT. PIC OF THE ASSEMBLY HERE:

BUT THEN YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO COVER THE HOLES IN THE HEADLINER WITH??? OR REUPHOLSTER THE WHOLE THING.

You cover the hole with a ticket light. :D

Seriously, at least you still have yours. They took mine when the car was retired, although they left the trunk antenna and mirror strobes that probably cost 4X more.
